My Distinctive Approach to Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy offers the patient and therapist a relational laboratory in which the pleasure of mutual recognition and understanding promote a secure base of positive human attachment. This attachment allows the patient to stabilize the self and enlarge their awareness of themselves in their inner and outer worlds.

All patients are struggling from stress of the imbalances caused by their internal historic orientation and life’s external events. Symptoms of anxiety and depression, relational difficulties, and social environment are chief among these out-of-balance life processes. The object of psychotherapy is to relieve a host of mental ills and address problems of living.

Research in developmental psychopathology, and neuro sciences, has shown a direct connection between behavior and actual neural connections and brain structure. This new research guides my interactions into my patients’ personal, social, and ethical problems of living.

Exploring the meaning and potential of emotional relationships promote mental health and well being and increase the patients capacity for a richer inner life. Attention to both the emotional and the neurological aspects of psychic imbalance promote a greater opportunity for the patient to flourish in all aspects of their life.
